Disabilities In Our Schools: A 4 Part Series

There are many different disabilities-some seen, others not. Common disabilities include: vision impairments, hearing impairments, speech disorders, loss of limbs, mobility impairments, and mental or emotional limitations. This 4 part series was researched and developed by Monica Bogner and Dave Roberts who have a lifetime of experience as individuals with disabilities. These videos provide training in how to conform with ADA and better interact with those who are disabled-in all walks of everyday life, including business settings and educational environments. The Awareness Training video series will teach a practical 5 step procedure to use when encountering a person with a disability. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires reasonable access to-and in educational facilities. Bogner and Roberts have done extensive research and gathered information on how to better accommodate those with special needs. One doesn't have to know how to refer to a person's disability to interact with them. People with disabilities have the same needs and responsibilities as others-to love and be loved; to be independent; to have fun; to earn a living; to pay taxes, be educated, and dream.
