Two jewelry houses, each with their own defining heritage and mindset, share a passion for fine jewelry. The iconic Cartier is a French classic that has captivated jewelry lovers for over a century. Adornment of royalty and celebrities from around the world, Cartier has come to define the look of Parisian decadence and Hollywood glamour. Jaqueline Karachi, Cartier's lead designer, carries on the tradition and style of the distinguished brand. In the workshop, goldsmiths create each piece using only traditional techniques. Signature designs, like the Snake and Panther are kept alive in the workshop for historic jewelry, where master jewelers cast and polish the delicate surfaces and do the most intricate stone setting by hand. Mads Kornerup, head designer at rising Danish brand Shamballa Jewels employs the latest digital technology in his workshops, but turns to a tradition laden with history for inspiration. His jewelry combines stark Skandinavian lines with the intricate symbolism of Himalayan Buddhism. Shamballa creates exclusive and sophisticated, yet casual, jewelry for men, and many celebrities have come to embrace its masculine aesthetic.
