Shape Shape Shape - A Seven Part Series

SHAPE SHAPE SHAPE is a mathematics series for elementary school students exploring two and three dimensional shapes. Two characters playfully examine the qualities of various shapes, making the concepts understandable to young children and preparing them for higher mathematics. Each 15 minute program investigates a different three-dimensional object (box, rectangle, cube, square, sphere or circle) by examining its various attributes and functions. This series interprets and applies common spatial language. Using computer graphics, it explores the shapes of faces; slicing, turning, and transforming shapes, looking at two dimensional representations of three dimensional shapes and finding examples of these shapes in the real world.
