The scientific community along with government agencies is searching for economic and regulatory incentives for sustainable farming. Genetically modified crops offer a smart but controversial solution to the threats of famine and malnutrition. In Kenya, people cook as a community, while in the Philippines, urbanites turn to subsistence farming.
